Joystuff Handmade Goods are primarily made with recycled and reclaimed fabrics and notions. This means they could have been found abandoned in a second hand store or buried at the bottom of a suitcase at a car boot sale. Sometimes, fabric has been donated to me by friends and family and when this occurs, I am the lucky recipient of old but well looked after fabrics. I scour the shops and factories near home for discarded remnants and unwanted samples. I sometimes even use second hand clothes to make my creations.
All Joystuff items are made one at a time. If you like something you see on this site, grab it before someone else does, because there's a good chance I won't make the same style or fabric combination again.
I develop all of my own patterns and do my best to use a pattern that suits the fabric at hand.
Although Joystuff is first and foremost fabric handbags, I have expanded my range over the years. I now make cushions and other homewares, wallhangings, bootstuffers, pincushions, soft toys and whatever else takes my fancy.
