TOTEM RC
I was lucky enough to aquire rolls of blinds offcuts, used in large width vertical blinds. I instantly imagined wallhangings from the 50's and the 70's, whether it be a couple of dancing islanders or black velvet painted with tourist hotspots. These wallhangings are my interpretation.
I love atomic shapes and abstract patterns from the 50's and 60's, like boomerangs and kidney tables. I have used dark grey wool felt and various scraps of vintage printed cotton in delicious warm reds to create this striking piece.
The timber used for the top and bottom of the wallhanging is offcuts of timber venetian blinds. A small triangle hook is attached to the back for easy hanging.
